IAALM delivers health care to under served people in the St. Louis area, provides health education to the general public and professionals as well as seeking to advance the understanding of acupuncture.

The Institute of American Acupuncture & Life Medicine (IAALM) is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) education and service organization founded in St. Louis in 2002.
IAALM opened its first Center for Community Health in Creve Coeur in 2002, and has provided over 1000 treatments to hundreds of people unable to access professional acupuncture health care. In 2004 IAALM began providing services to residents of South City and in 2005 opened The Center for Community Health at 3735 Connecticut (NE corner of Spring).
IAALM is in existence to serve those who are not served; IAALM accepts all people. Fees are based on a determined by appropriate documentation, such as a tax return.
